If you are someone who is struggling with hormonal imbalance, or just wanting to make better lifestyle changes, I'm here to help. It can be very overwhelming when trying to figure out where to begin, so I have curated a quick and easy 5 step list to help you start.

  1. Diet Nutrition plays a huge in balancing hormones becasue the foods we eat can either hinder or help our body's natural hormones production. Eating a balanced diet with healthy fats, fiber, and protein can help regulate our horomones like insulin and estrogen. My Tip: Make sure to eat a high protein breakfast, and don't skip meals. Fuel your body.

  2. Sleep Sleep is crucial for not just hormonal balance but overall well being. During sleep our body produces and regualtes hormones like cortisol and melotonin. Lack of sleep can disrupt these levels and elad to imabalance. So make sure you are getting those solid 7-8 hours. My Tip: Have a bedtime routine. Put your phone down, read a book, meditate before bed, etc.

  3. Stress Management Stress is one of, if not, the most important one in my eyes. When we are over stressed this can cause an overproduction of cortisol, a hormone that regulates our body's stress response. Chronis stress can casue these levels to remain eleveated, which can disrupt other hormones and lead to more imabalances. My Tip: Find resources that work for you to help manage your stress. Try yoga, meditation, breathwork, exercise, etc.

  4. Exercise This brings us to number 4, exercise. Moving your body is essential when it comes to hormonal imbalance becasue it can help regulate insulin and cortisol levels as well as promote the production of testorerone and growth hormone. Exercise can also help with the other tips above, like better sleep quality and stress management. These all go hand in hand, kind of like our overall health. My Tip: Find a routine that works for you. Whether it be weight llifting, pilates, yoga, walking or a mixture of all. Get moving at least once a day.

  5. Low Toxic Living This one I have been trying to incorporate slowly. It can expensive and a bit daunting when switching over to all clean and natural products, but trust me, it's worth it. When we reduce our exposure to toxins which can come from a lot of our everyday products like, deodorant, cleaning supplies, candles, perfumes, it can disrupt our hormone production and regulation. My Tip: Do some research and find clean natural products that are better alternatives. I will have a Blog Post about some of my favorites coming soon...

Just starting is the hard part, but once you begin and see the changes it will become custom. I hope this helps you on your journey!
