It happens when the prefrontal cortex (aka our conscious mind) relaxes. This happens when we’re driving and we are relaxed and relying on our automatic thought processes or automatic habits and programs that we have running subconsciously. We experience it when we listen to music, the moments right when we wake up and when we’re going to sleep.
