Description
With the lead up to Christmas fast approaching, it is more often than not that we neglect ourselves - the habits that ground us, be it working out, meditating or getting outside daily - which, more often than not, leads to us feeling uprooted and sometimes chaotic come holiday season. We know that it’s a time for enjoyment, but sometimes it feels like the joy gets sucked right out as we have little to no time for ourselves. This workshop will help you to re-centre and to come back to that calm, innate sense of self.
- We’ll spend our time learning a few soothing breathing techniques that will calm your nervous system and you can come back to anytime.
- After the breath-work segment, we’ll spend the next quarter of our time in guided meditation. This meditation is all about connecting to the sensations of the body and going beyond the mind - no woo-woo here. It’s a practice that you absolutely can return to in times of need regardless of whether you have 3 or 30 minutes to spare. It’s a preventative practice as well as one to come to the moment that you start to feel ungrounded, or even when the ground has well & truly made way beneath your feet and chaos has ensued.
- We’ll end with a short journalling session where I’ll provide prompts - it’s a personal entry that will ask you to notice how you feel in mind + body afterwards and include a self-reminding prompt directed at your future self.
All you need is one session to feel grounded again, to set you up with the tools that you need to come back to in your own space and time, to feel a sense of renewed life around the holiday period that is so often draining on our spirits when it ought to be nothing but uplifting.
